Star wars party foods:
What is the best theme for a kids' party? Well, the answer is not
hard to find. It's Star Wars party theme! Alright, the themes been
planned, the invitations and decorations ready and the games and
activities to be played are being devised. Now, when one looks at the
organizer the only thing and the main thing remaining is the planning of
the food. And, that's the point where you can not afford to make a
mistake.
So, let’s get down to deciding what kind of food is going to be just
right to be served for our Star Wars Theme party.

Of course the birthday cake can’t be anything else but one of the
favorite stars, characters or spaceships. If you are baking one at home
the simplest is the star shape. Or else one could also form different
smaller figures of the characters, but then, that is only if one is an
ace baker. There are several places where you can order a cake of the
specific shape.
When one is thinking of food, keep the kids palettes in mind to avoid
wastage. Kids at times are finicky eaters and like to stick to food that
they are familiar with. Hence, ensure that the party table has the usual
pizza, sandwiches and hotdogs customized for the Star War theme. You
could name them differently and place name tents in front of the dishes.
Do not forget to lay equal importance to the drinks. These could be
colored and named differently. You could also be creative with the
desserts that one serves. They could be asteroid sundaes, Death Star
brownies or red and green gelatos. One could make sweet treats with
cookies dipped in chocolate sauce to resemble light sabers. These can be
topped with decorative edible crystals or chocolate chips to make them
more authentic looking. One could also have cup cakes colored
differently to represent the asteroids or planets.
In fact one could let ones imagination drive the way one presents the
food to the kids to meet the theme requirement. One can serve Yoda’s
popcorn balls, Galactic Gelatin or Womp Rat with the usual ingredients
and name and color them differently. Watch the kids devour these foods
in no time.
However, beware that you don’t get carried away by being creative.
Kids might not want to try out new things if they are too different than
the usual. |
